Ms. Arshia Rajshekhar is a Clinical Psychologist based out of Bangalore. Post completion of her under graduate course in Psychology from Christ University, Bangalore, she went on to pursue her MSc in Clinical Psychology and MPhil in Clinical Psychology from KMC, Manipal.
She is passionate about clinical work and has interned and trained at various mental health centres across Bangalore, training with various clinical populations. She is well versed with working with people from diverse backgrounds and age groups and is fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. She is a firm believer of following a biopsychosocial approach in order to ensure a holistic approach to treatment. She propagates and believes in a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care and takes well into consideration the client’s requirements, use of assessments, medication, psychoeducational resources, family support and psychotherapeutic techniques, in designing treatment modules best suited to the individual.
Arshia is well known for her warm and friendly approach towards all clients as well as her ability to establish a strong therapeutic alliance, leading to longstanding and productive sessions and good mental health outcomes for the client. She is well versed with psychotherapies including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Focused Therapy (SFT).

Presented a paper titled ‘Role of Disclosure in the Experience of Trait Anger & Dissociative Experiences by Female Victims of Sexual Abuse’ at the Interdisciplinary Conference held at Christ University in March, 2015.
